Infusion Nursing and Specialty Catheter Insertions
We perform access and care procedures including: PIV insertion; Implanted port access; PICC, Midline, Long-PIV, and other Central Line care; Subcutaneous, and IM access.
We provide patient education in infusion therapy administration when indicated, expected outcomes, and complication prevention and management.
We have nurses trained in high tech vascular access use in patients that need more advanced techniques such as vein visualization with ultrasound, or vein illumination devices for vein access.
As a division of PICC Resource Associates, we can provide infusion therapy and vascular access education programs for clinical staff.
Patients of home infusion pharmacy companies are referred to us by the pharmacies or by a patient's medical provider to schedule a nurse to provide home infusion nursing services.
Our nurses are all experienced registered nurses that have years of experience and training in administering intravenous medications. In addition our nursing team is well rounded with backgrounds in a variety of specialties including emergency care, critical care, medical/ surgical care, pediatrics, and IV team nursing.
Intravenous infusion therapies that are available for home infusion have been proven to be a safe and effective alternative to hospital or clinic-based care for many diagnoses. For many patients, receiving IV therapy at home is a better lifestyle fit, and more convenient than going out to receive infusions at a facility. Home infusion nurses perform an initial assessment before administering an infusion therapy. This helps ensure that patients and the ordered therapy are a good match, and helps patients to achieve the best outcomes.
